Johns Disposal

Dan Jongetjes, Municipal Sales Manager of Johns Disposal in Whitewater, Wisconsin, came to Signalfire with a web design challenge. He needed a new website that allowed customers to fill out forms for quote requests, provided easy news for residential pick-up customers, showcased the nearly three dozen municipalities served, and highlighted their route drivers with an employee bio and photo. Dan also needed to easily maintain the site to add new personnel, weather-response updates, or holiday schedule news.

Signalfire met repeatedly with Dan to gain a better understanding of his business and his needs. What came out was not only a solid website development plan, but a foundation for future site expansion, as Dan sought to feature the extensive recycling program Johns Disposal offered. Signalfire’s web design planning process identified what content managed site (CMS) platform would work best, and provided an in-depth site and content architecture plan.

While Signalfire designed the site, Dan applied his professional photography skills to capture his business in pictures. Together, Johns Disposal and Signalfire developed search effective content and efficient quote request forms to make the process of ordering a dumpster a fast, and user-friendly experience. The final product makes Johns Disposal a leader in their industry.

The completed site consisted of nearly 50 pages with featured communities and drivers, online forms for residential or commercial ordering of multiple sizes of dumpsters, and a robust CMS that will allow for the future showcase of their on-site recycling program with videos and text.

Signalfire demonstrated that our process of listening to not only the current needs of the client, but also the future plans of the client, can make an initial cost-effective website design a long term investment into smart marketing.
